🥣 Goulash (Gulyás / Gulasch / Guláš)
Hungarian goulash is a soup-like dish, Austrian goulash is a rich stew, and Czech goulash is a dish enjoyed with beer. Although they have the same name, they are slightly different in taste and shape. When eaten with bread or knedlíky (Czech steamed bread), the different faces of the three countries come into view.

🥩 Rántott hús / Schnitzel
Crispy fried thin slices of meat. In Hungary it is called "Leandsfürs", in Austria it is called "Wiener Schnitzel", and a similar dish is also loved in the Czech Republic. The crispy batter and the sourness of the lemon are exquisite.

Chicken stewed in plenty of paprika and sour cream. A Hungarian home-style taste has become a sophisticated local dish in Austria. The accompanying garuska (small pasta) and gnocchi-style side dishes are also one of the attractions.

Apples, raisins, cinnamon. This traditional Austrian pastry wrapped in a thin, crispy crust is known as "Reteš" in Hungary and is a popular dessert in Czech cafes. You can also enjoy regional variations such as poppy seeds and plums.

 

🎂 Sacher-torta and Medovník
The elegant Sachertorte from Vienna and the simple Czech honey cake Medovník are both flavors loved by generations and are indispensable for coffee time.

🍷 Wine Scenery Hungary's "Tokaj Aszu" is an exquisite wine that is also known as "the wine of kings, the king of wines." In Austria, refreshing and delicate white wines such as "Grüner Veltliner" and "Riesling" are popular. Visiting local wineries will make your trip even more memorable.
